new (relatively speaking) h/d fics

I haven't been cross-posting here like I thought I would, but I did want to keep track of my fanfiction here for my IJ memories.

I've posted two new stories in the past couple of months, both of which I have archived at Skyehawke:

Inter-House Tie Symposium (sequel to Inter-House Tongue Sessions)

and

Pixie Light and Pixie Dark (HP/Stephen King's The Cell crossover fic)

Yes, I'm too lazy to post the stories in their entireties in this journal. I fail.

torchhood and brotherwood. no, wait...

Yay! I managed to get most of my entries from here to Journalfen and InsaneJournal with LJ-Sec. No transferral of comments makes me sad, but I simply couldn't figure out how to use LJ-Migrate without having a nervous breakdown.

Anyway, for those like me who have been anxiously waiting for Torchwood to show in their area, BBC America is going to begin debuting episodes on September 8th at 9 PM EST. I might even start watching Doctor Who episodes to get an idea of WTF's going on, even though David Tennant kinda sorta gives me the creeping willies. *ahem*

And for Jason Isaacs fen, Brotherhood will begin its second season on Showtime beginning September 30th. They're re-broadcasting episodes from season 1 starting this weekend, I believe. They also have episodes available for download ($1.99 apiece) at iTunes. The first season was a roller-coaster ride, in the best and worst senses, but I just gotta see where it all goes.

I know lots of you are probably tired of the artistic merit debacle by now, but I did want to mention that I actually got an official answer to a comment I left at [info]lj_biz. It's not good. Not good at all.

Were the artists who got banned reported to the NCMEC?

This is just plain chilling.

flash fordman

I've been reading LJ sporadically this summer, so maybe I missed it, but HO!MG, I just found out this past weekend that Eric Johnson is playing Flash Gordon on the SciFi Channel!!! This makes me ten kinds of happy. I hated to see Whitney leave Smallville back in, what was it, season 3? But this just seems like the perfect role for Eric. He's such a doll. I'm very, very jazzed about this. If it were any other network, I might not be, but SciFi does have a great reputation lately for making really stellar (har har) programming. There's an article about it here. It debuts Friday, August 10th, at 9 PM EST.

And he has the floppy hair! ::loves::

new H/D story: Stirring of the Serpent

This is my last hurrah before the new book comes out Saturday. It's about the darkest thing I've ever written, but it was good to get my muses out and exercise them; they'd grown flabby since November.

Anyway, please heed the warnings in the header if you read this. No one under 18 to be reading, please. Proceed with caution if you're squeamish. And no, neither Harry nor Draco dies. At least not in *my* world. I have no idea what Ms. Rowling will do with them!

Author: Roses ([info]marcasita)
Title: Stirring of the Serpent
Fandom: Harry Potter
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Word Count: 34,462

Chapter Ten (at Skyehawke)

ETA: I've decided to discontinue regular updates of this story to my LJ until it is finished; instead, I'll continue posting chapters to Skyehawke (link above) and The Hex Files. Once I've completed this fic and it's beta'ed, I'll post it here. We're talking possibly the end of the year. (<<ETA: 'Twas wishful thinking.) Thanks.

HP story: Keeper of Starlight

According to [info]aelora and just about everyone else on my flist, it's LJ MPREG day! Now, to be honest, I'm not a big reader of that genre and have never written it. OK, wait, that's not entirely true. Clark was pregnant for a bit in Beneath Another Sun, but I glossed over it to get to the next plot point. So I don't know if that counts.

Anyway, this is for you, [info]herohunter, since you've handled yourself so well in the face of total jerks and you always cheer me up with your happy posts. I don't think you read Harry/Draco, but I'm dedicating it to you nonetheless.

Title: Keeper of Starlight
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: Harry/Draco; featuring cameo appearances by Crabbe and Goyle

New HP WiP: Woodlark Pulpit

Here's the WiP I've mentioned in this LJ a couple of times. Unlike The Ghost of St. Mungo's, it hasn't already been completed prior to posting, but I do at least have a pretty extensive and finished outline. Hopefully I can keep on track and post it fairly regularly. At least that's the plan. Right now I'm foreseeing a total of about nineteen chapters before it's all said and done.
